Eiffel Tower


     Was built for the Universal Exhibition of 1889 with the initial intention to dismantle but ended after that became the symbol of Paris immutable.

     Its total height is 324 m including antenna. It has three levels to which they can climb.

     Since its completion in 1889 until 1931, when it was completed the Empire State of New York, has been the world's tallest building.


     The proposed construction of this tower was first presented to the leaders of the city of Barcelona to be built during the Universal Exhibition of 1888 but was rejected because it seemed an expensive project and ended up convincing them not to print to the aesthetics the city.

     For the same reason, aesthetics, was about to be demolished in the early twentieth century but was spared this fate by hosting a powerful antenna that receives radio communications in Germany during World War being a great help to the allies.

     It was designed by French engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel also conducted a series of other notable projects such as the internal structure the Statue of Liberty in New York.
